High School DxD

High school student Issei Hyoudou is your run-of-the-mill pervert who does nothing productive with his life, peeping on women and dreaming of having his own harem one day. Things seem to be looking up for Issei when a beautiful girl asks him out on a date, although she turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him! However, he gets a second chance at life when beautiful senior student Rias Gremory, who is a top-class devil, revives him as her servant, recruiting Issei into the ranks of the school's Occult Research club.

Slowly adjusting to his new life, Issei must train and fight in order to survive in the violent world of angels and devils. Each new adventure leads to many hilarious (and risqué) moments with his new comrades, all the while keeping his new life a secret from his friends and family in High School DxD!

Tits. Everywhere. Clothes flying, moans echoing, and Rias Gremory walking around like the literal goddess of ecchi. High School DxD isn’t just fanservice—it’s a full-on religion of boobs, and I’m a devoted believer.

Every single episode is softcore chaos in the best way. It’s not about subtlety—it’s about full-blown titty physics, magic powered by groping, and entire plotlines fueled by horny energy. Issei doesn’t level up by training—he levels up by getting smothered in Rias’s boobs. And you know what? That’s beautiful.

Rias. Don’t even get me started. Red hair, insane curves, calm seductive voice—she owns every scene. She could blow up a planet or just take ... her shirt off and that would be enough. Her stripping scene in the first episode? Life-changing. She’s the reason I kept watching, and the reason I’ll rewatch it until my soul leaves my body. She’s not just waifu material—she’s the blueprint. She's elegance, dominance, softness, and straight-up sex appeal wrapped in a devil's body.

Every girl in this show is hot. Every outfit is tiny. Every fight scene is somehow an excuse for more skin. Power-ups happen through boobs. Healing happens through boobs. Emotional bonding? Boobs. This show makes no sense and yet it makes perfect sense. It’s not here to win awards—it’s here to melt brains and pants.

Plot? Whatever. Angels, devils, dragons, who cares—did you see how Akeno moans during battle? Did you see Koneko in cat mode? Did you witness Xenovia just casually asking to bear Issei’s children like it’s no big deal? This show is horny anime turned up to 1000 and I was HERE FOR IT.

This isn’t just ecchi. This is peak ecchi. The anime that said, “You want boobs? I’ll give you boobs and power beams.” It’s so outrageously thirsty it becomes art.

I watched for the fanservice. I stayed for Rias. I lost my soul during the harem bath scenes. And I have zero regrets.

Rias is love. Rias is life. High School DxD is everything.

Mixed Feelings

So I finally finished High School DxD and honestly… it was okay. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I watched it because I saw it’s kind of popular and people talk about it a lot, so I was curious. I thought maybe there’s something deeper behind the fanservice... but yeah, most of it wasn’t really my style.

For like the first 6 episodes (or maybe more), it felt like it was mostly about a pervy guy who only thinks about boobs. 😅 Issei is always yelling about wanting a harem and boobs, and it got kinda annoying to be honest. I understand ... it’s a part of his character and maybe some people find it funny, but for me it got boring really fast. I kept hoping he would grow more as a person, but it didn’t really happen until later on.

After that, the story started to focus more on fights and powers and devils and stuff, and I liked that part a lot more. It actually reminded me a bit of Darling in the Franxx, especially the way the action and relationships are mixed together. The supernatural plot was kinda interesting, and I liked some of the other characters too. Akeno and Koneko were probably my favorites, they were way more chill than Issei.

The animation was pretty good in some scenes, especially during the fights. But I felt like the boobs and ecchi stuff were just everywhere, even when it didn’t really make sense or add anything. Sometimes it felt like the story had potential, but the show didn’t want to take itself seriously enough.

I wouldn’t say it’s a bad anime, just not really my thing. If you like a lot of fanservice and over-the-top humor with action and fantasy, you might enjoy it more than I did. For me it was just a "watch once and move on" kind of anime.

Also I watched this Anime for a Friend of mine and this is a Genre I usually don't watch.

Starting with Issei, he was a bit of a more interesting MC of an Ecchi Harem than expected, most of that is due to Yuki Kaji's Fun Performance and how he wears his thoughts and Feelings on his Sleeves. Rias, our main girl, was a bit of a disappointment tho.
Not living up to the hype, she came off as vapid and at times downright creepy towards Issei to me, ... talking about him like property at times and comming onto him where it isn't always clear if Issei enjoys it.
Only after the Phoenix-Arc she become a lil bit more likeable to me.

The other Characters are fun but pretty one note and it was fine to me, I knew they weren't the focus of the first season so it reluctantly accepted that.
Asia was a nice breath of fresh air, her chemistry with Issei kept me watching for the first half of the Show, but in the later half she continued to fall into a stereotype and felt flat to me.

The Animation was all around good, especially for the female characters, and the Soundtrack worked and enhanced the Show's Atmosphere.
The Plot however was formulaic and to be expected for this genre, but at times exactly that predictable-ness made it hard to keep watching.

The Ecchi was good I suppose, tho felt entirely out of place mostly. I didn't need to see a boob every time a character had a tragic moment or had an important conversation.
It was fine in the right, upbeat moments, but felt disrespectful to the characters in the important ones.

All in All I gave Highschool DxD a 4 out of 10, It is a fine Ecchi Anime but it wasn't something I enjoyed.
